Business Development Representative/Outside Sales Date

Summary/Objective: The primary responsibility of Business Development Representative Position is to drive new business through outside sales. This position will also be responsible for providing top notch customer service, maintaining current house accounts, generating new leads, pricing, and building relationships with customers. This position requires cold calling in the field in an effort to generate new sales. This person will work alongside a focused and driven sales team that formulates annual goals and works together to accomplish those goals.

  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly experience, while maintaining outstanding standards.
  • Solid product knowledge and all other components of products sold.
  • Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business.
  • Determine customer needs and present solution oriented options.
  • Maintain an awareness of all product information; pricing, composition, recommended usage, and testing.
  • Assist in trade show events and other community involvement projects.
  • Conduct regular customer location and jobsite visits to ensure product quality and service is up to our standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices to include: pricing, and loss prevention.
  • Assist with collection of receivables.
  • Regularly meet with Director of Sales to review sales activities and status of prospective customers and projects.

  • Must present and communicate in a professional manner.
  • Must be a strong relationship builder with good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be goal oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be organized with good time management skills.
  • Must have previous cold calling experience.
  • Possess strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Must be self-motivated as well as able to work as a team.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Experience with Microsoft office, Excel, and PowerPoint a plus. This position also requires you to be out in the field to include: construction site visits, visits to landscaping companies, soil and material yards, landscape architecture firms, municipalities, waste haulers, organic waste generators, and other various locations related to the position.

Travel: Some out of town travel is expected for this position. This roles requires approximately 50-60% of your time on the road within your market segment.

Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but will consider experience and body of work in lieu of degree 2-5 years of sales experience in industry Or 5+ years out of industry sales experience Industry specific training will be provided along with professional sales training.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: Conroe, TX

Description: We are looking for a hardworking, experienced individual who can perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of company owned heavy equipment. In addition, selected applicant would be directly responsible for documenting all service records and ordering repair and wear parts for all machines. On occasion, travel to and from Houston area vendor locations, and new Earth's Katy, TX location will be required.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Texas Drivers License
  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment
  • Must have previous experience working on excavators and rubber tire wheel loaders.
  • Experience maintaining wood grinders (i.e. Diamond Z and Morbark) is a plus.
  • Experience in welding is a plus.
